Funerals & Farewells

There are many emotions one experiences when dealing with grief, especially the pain of loss. A well-prepared funeral offers comfort and support to all of the surviving family and friends. Funeral ceremonies can be held anywhere - in funeral homes, chapels, private homes, parks or gardens or any place special to the person who has died. A celebrant is often required for a non-religious but meaningful and cultural celebration.

I consider the role of Funeral Celebrant as a great privilege, and will take the time to learn as much as possible about your loved one. I am happy to visit your family and close friends and listen to their stories and opinions. I will then write a eulogy or biography that accurately reflects the life and memories of the person who has died. All details of the eulogy will then be checked with the family.

As the ceremony is such an important part of saying goodbye, it must be delivered with care and sensitivity. When planning the service, I will discuss with you the use of symbols and selected texts which may be read by me or other readers. Carefully chosen readings or poems can be very meaningful, and portray a true picture of your loved one.
